We offer an ITS-SIDS and CPR Combo.  Along with child care provider's INFANT and CHILD CPR, FIRST AID, & AED training, they are also required to be trained in SUDDEN INFANT DEATH SYNDROME (SIDS).  The NC ITS-SIDS training aims to lower the risk of SUDDEN INFANT DEATH SYNDROME (SIDS) in child care.  As part of the SAFE SLEEP PRACTICES such as the BACK TO SLEEP PROJECT which requires ALL INFANTS BE PLACED ON THEIR BACKS TO SLEEP.  ITS-SIDS training is required for all daycare owners (CENTERS & IN-HOME) and child care workers.  The law states that any provider that is to work in the INFANTS room be certified but it is recommended that ALL EMPLOYEES BE TRAINED AND CERTIFIED IN SIDS.  ITS-SIDS training educates the providers on the laws, sleep practices, safety, policies, waivers, documentation, and what to do in the event of a death.
